Another wander along the banks - Trimpley to Stanley

I got a call off Karlos at about 12:00hrs asking if I fancied a stroll down the river yesterday. I immediately said yes, but on opening the front door to a damp and drizzly day I was somewhat put off! As a time had been arranged I thought it was worth a gamble on the weather improving slightly and made a flask of coffee for the walk.

Walking the river in the Close Season

Ok, so three weeks of cold turkey - No fishing whatsoever. I feel lost!! I have just started bailiffing for BAA as I felt I should start doing my bit for the club as I use their waters so much. I have been walking the local pools at Nordley checking permits etc and I must say it has reinforced the fact that I don't wish to fish ponds.

I have also started walking the banks of the Severn looking to see if there are any people fishing for 'Eels'. I have yet to see anyone, but it is a good excuse ...
