After my festive break I was desperate to get some fishing in quick! As we all know the last few weeks have been cold to say the least, but I have ventured onto the banks twice. On both occasions I have had to give up early either due to ice or simply not enjoying the bitter cold. The river has been fishing poorly during the cold snap, I even went to try to catch a few chub - to no avail!
