This trip had been planned for over a week with my nate Karl with a 'K'. The Warwickshire Avon was the planned venue, but this was changed as we found out that you can only fish till dusk. As we all know, fishing the first hour of dark really is a must when Barbel fishing! We then decided to change to an Upper Severn venue, Montford bridge.

We set off at 09:30hrs, full of enthusiasm for a good day/evenings fishing. This was somewhat dampened when we saw the river, which was just about to burst...
